Prepping for the Sabbatical Year: As if you needed one more reason to prep.

(((I want to dedicate this article to Brandon, Shellie, Kathy, Philip and Nadia who have asked great questions about preparing for the Sabbatical Year. Also, I dedicate it to my little sister in the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) Sandra, whose efforts and excitement in preparing for the coming sabbatical year border on “awesome”.))) Continue reading

Will 2014 Be Our Year of Decision?

Dear Friends, I want to begin by apologizing for my lack of attention to this site. I had to make a decision of which was more important; writing, which I love, or helping others prepare for what is coming our way. I chose to help, rather, we chose to help. Von chose to help me help others. Continue reading

2013: Will You Survive the Obama-nation of Desolation?

DO NOT LET THE TITLE FOOL YOU! This article is NOT a discourse or dissertation in theology. Most sources that I will quote are SECULAR not SCRIPTURAL and much is simply my opinion and, although researched, is still just an opinion. Continue reading

On the Clock of Tyranny…

On the clock of tyranny we are 30 seconds from Midnight. I will not go into an analysis of the N.D.A.A.or the various Executive Orders from der fuehrer in the last five months. So many people have already done this that I think it unnecessary for me to add anything to their analysis. Continue reading

Leftovers, Lagniappe and La-Z-Boys

((Why did I named the article this, I don’t know. It was all I could come up with. Sorry.))

Although this article is NOT about leftovers at the dinner table, it could be. The title is based on the terms that I learned growing up. My family was from central Louisiana but I was raised in south Louisiana. This is similar to having your family from England and raising you in France. Continue reading

Don’t Forget the Small Stuff!

A few years ago there was a self-help book on the New York Times Best Sellers list entitled “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff (and it is all small stuff)” I guess I am going to take a contrarian view because I want to get you to think about the small stuff. Continue reading

What Did We Accomplish?

In the previous post you may have gotten the idea that the trip was not a succss. We did get our supplies safely there and inventoried as I stated. We also located a site for two more cabins. The cabin that we were able to start will be for Von and I and then the third cabin will be for visitors (also read refugees.) Continue reading

Home Again

I usually do not comment on a family “vacation” but I think I will this time because it has a very interesting side note for all of us. Every year, my family “group”

We observed nesting pairs of bald eagles on the way to the museum. Awesome!!

gets together during the months of February in winter and June/July for the summer. These get-togethers are to discuss strategy, current events around the world, go over our preparations and, many times, construct a cabin, road, LP/OP or some other needed improvement to our refuge. We have traditionally met in February because so many members of my family, including myself, have a birthday during the month. This year my mother turned 90 years old and when asked what she wanted to do for her birthday her response was to go to the World War II National Museum in New Orleans Louisiana Continue reading

The Last Great Act of Defiance

Never quit! FIght to the end.

(I originally published this article on December 5th, 2011 on the Don’t tread on me website but the question keeps coming up so I will repost it here.)

Me and the little mouse in the picture have one thing in common, I don’t intend to give up. Maybe I won’t solve all the world’s problems, free mankind from the shackles of Debt Structured Bondage, find a Real cure for warts or anything else profound. Continue reading

Stardate: 4/24

Okay, it is a little melodramatic since I don’t have a starship Enterprise but I want to use this opportunity to explain the meaning of 4/24, which I am sure some of you know already, and to dangle my feet a little. (more on that in a moment.) I know some of this is going to sound a bit outlandish, but I am basing this on a lifetime of service to my country, research and yes, some intestinal discernment, you know, gut instinct. Since these are my personal feelings on the matter it is a lot like dreaming you are walking naked in front of everyone you know. And, you know me, I am always one to avoid controversy. Continue reading

The Art and Science of Caching

I used the terms art and science because a cache is often misunderstood and often as not, mispronounced. The word cache comes from French and is pronounced “kash” or “cash” just like the word for the Federal Reserve Notes in your wallet. Literally, a cache is something of value hidden for later use or retrieval. In the world of the survivor or prepper it has a deeper meaning. Sorry about the pun. Continue reading

Declaration of the Causes and Necessity of taking up Arms July 6, 1775

(My friends, brothers and sisters of liberty, the time is growing short. First, Congress voted for the National Defense Authorization Act without ammendment. Now, their latest Obamination, uh, abomination, is the Enemy Expatriation Act. This will strip any American of his or her citizenship if found guilty of acts of “terrorism” or violence against the government. But, this is nothing new to the children of LIBERTY and FREEDOM here in America. Please read the following discourse on the justification for taking up arms. Continue reading

A Personal Note On The American Dream

Dear Friends, I want to speak on a personal level right now. I studied economics at the Univerisity of California in the early 1970’s, but I am not an economist. The information that I give is not that of an economist. Continue reading

15 Decisions You May Have To Make in 2012

In earlier articles I  tried to highlight the problems that we are faced with in this day and age not only in America but also throughout the world. Wherever you look, the United States is poised for war with some country. We are poised for war Continue reading

First Things First

There are a lot of things that I would like to admit to, but unfortunately, most of them would be a lie. Sometimes you would like to plead guilty to being caught in an affair with a beautiful actress, or having millions of dollars in a hidden account or, like Al Gore, to have invented the internet. Continue reading

Grit Your Teeth…It’s About to Get Nasty

My friends, it  is about to get nasty in many ways. Please follow the link to Mac Slavo’s site. http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/senate-to-vote-on-legislation-that-allows-u-s-military-to-detain-americans-without-charge-or-trial_11252011 . Folks this is now law in America. People Like Mac Slavo, John Rubino, SGT and others have the God given talent for pointing out the nose on your face. Continue reading

STEPS TO PREPARE

What this article is and what it isn’t.

It is the purpose of this article to give you a strategy or methodology in your preparations. It is not a detailed treatment of preparing for a disaster. Continue reading

American Dictatorship

What This Article Is, and What it Isn’t

This article is a look at how we lost our Constitution, Common Law and how a dictatorship was established. I could spend 400-600 pages writing on the financial aspect of this travesty but I will leave that for the more talented writers out there. Not only that, just this topic alone should have at least 500 pages dedicated to it to do it justice. I will try to cover it in much less. Continue reading

When The Poop Hits The Oscillator

I have been asked to share my perspective (vision or nightmare) of what will happen when the Poop finally hit’s the fan. You asked for it, Continue reading
