I am the Aleph and the Tav *

*The above quote comes from Revelation 1:8 (ISR 3rd ed. 2009) Also note: the ISR reads Taw and the author has changed the spelling to Tav to more accurately reflect the pronunciation of the Hebrew language prior to the introduction of Aramaic while in Babylon.

**Before I go any further I wish to acknowledge Todd Bennett for making me aware of the map that I will use in my article. Also, I give full credit to the GreatAmericanEclipse.com for their free use of their map.((Please go to their store if you would like to purchase one or more of their beautiful maps.)) Finally, I wish to thank NASA’s https://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/ website for their free use of their maps and especially Fred Espenak, NASA/GSFC Emeritus for doing all the calculations that make these and many other fine maps possible. Thank You, All!

If you are familiar with my past articles you will remember that in 2014 I wrote about the “Tetrad of Blood Moons” that was being hyped on television and internet religious sites ((It was really a sextet.)). Later, in 2016, when the “Shemitah Craze” became popular I tried to debunk many of the misconceptions about the Sabbatical Year. I later wrote about mine and Von’s, plus many of our friends and family, observance of the Sabbatical Year. That was one of the most exciting years of my life. If you will remember I showed maps of the full solar eclipse of August 21, 2017 and the coming total solar eclipse of April 8, 2024 and how they formed an X across much of North America. Also, I pointed out that the junction of those eclipses would be close to St. Louis, Missouri and Cairo, Illinois. So much for past events.

I want to talk about another eclipse that arrives before April 8, 2024 and that is the annular solar eclipse of October 14, 2023. Notice, that once again it will traverse across the North America including the United States. It’s path will take it over the American Southwest and Texas.

Now, I want to show you the eclipse of April 8, 2024:

I will show you the image of the August 2017 solar eclipse one more time:

Now, thanks to the magic made possible by GreatAmericanEclipse.com website I want to show you what these 3 eclipses will look like when put together:

Now, for those of you who can read paleo-Hebrew alarm bells and whistles should be going off in your head, heart or wherever. Paleo-Hebrew was the type of Hebrew in use at the time of King David, and for you readers of paleo many, if not most, of you should be able to locate two Hebrew characters in the image above. This brings us to the title of this article. For those of you who cannot read paleo-Hebrew let me give you a little help. The Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet or alphabet. In paleo-Hebrew it would appear as sideways A, yes, Virginia this is where our English A originates:

Next, the paleo-Hebrew Tav, which is the last letter of the Hebrew Aleph-Bet, would appear as an X or cross or sideways t, yep, you got it, this is where our T comes from in English:

Carefully observe the X that crosses the United States and centers itself near Cairo, Illinois. This would be the Tav. Now, look at the 2 eclipses that are together in the Washington state and Oregon state area and then split, one going across the heartland of American in 2017 and the other going across the American Southwest in October 2023. These two form the V shape of the paleo Aleph and the eclipse going from Texas to Maine forms the upright leg or I portion of the Aleph.

I purposely used the NASA maps because of the data included in the tracks of the eclipses, i.e. magnitude, Gamma, track width and duration and other things that I will need to use to plot intensity at some future time. ((Remember this is much like magnitude or amplitude I just chose the word intensity so as not to cause confusion with earthquakes or radio-waves.))

For those of you who are followers of The Way, i.e. Hebrew Roots, Messianic Jews, the dates of these eclipses should be the next thing that has probably already caught your attention; October 14th and April 8th. By now, most of you may not understand but you should know that I do not follow the Hillel Jewish Calendar. I understand the supposed necessity of having the calendar, if you go out to sight the moon you will be killed by the Romans, but I’m not Jewish nor Roman. I am a follower of The Way and our Messiah commanded us to “Watch”. For what? The sliver of the moon***. I said this to qualify what I am about to say. October 14 could very possibly line up with the celebration of Sukkot. April 8th could very possibly line up with the celebration of Unleavened Bread, please remember the Passover is the Preparation Day for Unleavened Bread. Since April 8th is on a Monday it will not be First Fruits. It is even possible with an Adar Bet, or 13th month, it could be Aviv, the First Day of the First Month of YHVH’s calendar.

***Author’s Note: For those of you who would like to learn more about the sighting of the sliver or the “Day and the Hour that No Man Knows”, I can heartily recommend Mr. Joseph F. Dumond’s book It Was A Riddle Not A Command. Also, if you want to learn more about many of the topics I have covered in this article and others about cycles please go to Mr. Dumond’s site Sightedmoon.com where you can find thousands of pages of his very voluminous research that he has done over the years.

If you will remember, or research if you don’t remember, the August 21, 2017 eclipse fell during the 40 days of Repentance prior to Yom Kippur of 2017 (month of Elul).

There is much more that I need to explain but I am trying to not overwhelm anyone with information overload. I will, Yah willing, write another article about the importance and occurrence of the Aleph-Tav in Scripture, why Yehua (Jesus) would never say “Alpha and Omega” and the overall importance of the Aleph-Tav in Hebrew but to do so now would be too much at one time and quite honestly it would take a large book to incorporate everything about this topic and would have to be done by a Hebrew scholar, not some retired farmer from southeast Texas.

Num 6:22  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Num 6:23  “Speak to Aharon and his sons, saying, ‘This is how you bless the children of Yisra’ěl. Say to them:
Num 6:24  “יהוה bless you and guard you;
Num 6:25  יהוה make His face shine upon you, and show favour to you;
Num 6:26  יהוה lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.” ’
Num 6:27  “Thus they shall put My Name on the children of Yisra’ěl, and I Myself shall bless them.”

Shalom,

CC

  1. CC, your posts are always fascinating … even if linguistically over my head … though, I’d much rather read a post which causes me to think and ponder, versus a post which screams at me a certain point of view with no explanation. In my early life, I did go to seminary, but ironically (due to going to one of the “elite” schools), I did not have to take courses in any of the Biblical languages, and feel a deficit for it to this day. American Christians can get lost in the fact we are constantly reading and focusing on “translated” texts (to English) and lose sight of the original languages and their significance. English being a Germanic language and overly rigid with less nuance than other languages, it is easy in our spiritual walk to forget to grasp the multiple layers of interpretation in the original texts, based on the original languages as they were composed and written. Only reading in English, only reading the King James, does a great disservice to one’s spiritual walk, and truly fails in understanding Bible prophecy and these end times. Keep posting, and know that what you may think is over our heads, is actually good to get into our heads! That is, the original words, and how they translate into the “signs and wonders” which Jesus referred.

    • NH Watcher,
      You are so right about linguistics. I will write more about the Aleph/Tav and in that or those article(s) I hope to show everyone why Yeshua did not say Alpha and Omega and the importance of what Yeshua did say. Hebrew is a beautiful language and it is designed to be sung. Think of the importance of that concept alone. When you quote your ABC’s you probably sing, to yourself, the ABC song. Singing is imprinting. Imagine a Hebrew child on his/her mother’s breasts nursing as she sings Torah or the Psalms. The Scriptures are imprinted upon the child psyche for the rest of its life. Now go back and reread Proverbs 1:8 and 6:20 and read instead “law of your mother” read instead the “Torah of your mother.” Remember Sha’ul(Paul) to Timothy about his grandmother and mother, both Hebrew women who would have rocked him in their arms singing Torah and Psalms from birth. (2Tim. 1:5).
      Thanks for your wonderful comment.
      Shalom,
      CC
