It was not my plan to write another article in this series. I had actually thought about doing one just after I finished Part VII subtitled the Angel of YHVH but decided against it. One night while teaching about the various mountains and why it seemed that YHVH always focused on mountains, Jim S. (Big Muddy) said, “My head is going to explode. You need to write an article about this so we can refer back to it.” That was in early June of this summer (2017) and Von and I have been extremely busy ever since, and will be until the end of the year, and I put the thought out of my mind, or so I thought. It kept creeping back in and taunting me. So, we are going to talk about the mountains of Elohim, what they are and represent and also where they are. Hang on to your hats, it is going to get wild.
The Mountains of the Spiritual Turf Wars:
- Eden
- Moriah
- Sinai (In the Wilderness of Sin)
- Hermon
- Tsephon (Zaphon)
- Zion
- Armageddon (This one is going to blow you away)
1.) Eden: I know that, as you look at the above listing you will immediately think, “Codger, Eden was a garden.” And, you would be correct, but it was also a mountain. Let’s look for the Mountain of Eden. (ISR) Eze 28:13 “You were in Ěḏen, the garden of Elohim. Every precious stone was your covering: the ruby, topaz, and diamond, beryl, shoham, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald and gold. The workmanship of your settings and mountings was prepared for you on the day you were created.
Eze 28:14 “You were the anointed kerub that covered. And I placed you, you were on the set-apart mountain of Elohim. You walked up and down in the midst of stones of fire. (Please remember this last phrase because it will be important later.)
What do we know about Eden’s location? (ISR) Gen 2:8 And יהוה Elohim planted a garden in Ěḏen, to the east, and there He put the man whom He had formed.
Gen 2:9 And out of the ground יהוה Elohim made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, with the tree of life in the midst of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Gen 2:10 And a river went out of Ěḏen to water the garden, and from there it divided and became four riverheads.
Gen 2:11 The name of the first is Pishon, it is the one surrounding the entire land of Ḥawilah, where there is gold.
Gen 2:12 And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium is there, and the shoham stone.
Gen 2:13 And the name of the second river is Giḥon, it is the one surrounding the entire land of Kush.
Gen 2:14 And the name of the third river is Ḥiddeqel, it is the one which goes toward the east of Ashshur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.
We will talk about where Eden is later.
2.) Mt. Moriah: Unfortunately the drawing below is the best drawing of what I believe may be the proper placement of Mt. Moriah within the context of YHVH’s mountains.

Mt. Zion and Mt. Moriah probably need to be reversed. More about that later.
And equally unfortunately, this is the most accurate drawing of the original City of David and also showing the true placement of Solomon’s Temple ((Actually all three temples)) and also the proper relationship to the erroneously named “temple mount”. Yes, the bottom drawing is my drawing.
Now, I am not an artist and I have often said the only thing I could draw was flies, if the wind wasn’t blowing. Please note that the area that I call the City of David is actually Mt. Moriah. The part of Jerusalem that is called upper Jerusalem, to the west (left) is Mt. Zion and that the Mt. of Olives is on the East. There are some that disagree with this view, and there are some that disagree with some here and some there but, for the sake of argument, let us now look at the importance of Mt. Moriah in YHVH’s plan.
Gen_22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.//Did you catch that? Moriah is actually mentioned as a land rather than a mountain proper. It could be that Jerusalem itself or the Mount of Olives is actually Moriah. We do not know. Wouldn’t it be beautifully ironic if the Mt. of Olives, there at Golgotha is actually Moriah? Look to the book of Hebrews to add to that irony: Heb 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
Heb 11:18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
Heb 11:19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. // Isn’t it wonderful that Abraham believed in YHVH enough to believe that Elohim could raise Isaac from the dead as He did His own Son Yeshua. How beautiful is that?
3.) Mt. Sinai and the Wilderness of Sin: To properly begin the study of Mt. Sinai and the Wilderness of Sin we must go back to the Children of Israel in bondage in Egypt: Exo 12:12 ‘And I shall pass through the land of Mitsrayim on that night, and shall smite all the first-born in the land of Mitsrayim, both man and beast. And on all the mighty ones of Mitsrayim I shall execute judgment. I am יהוה.
When you look at the plagues that were sent upon Egypt it was a sign to the Egyptians that YHVH was greater than their gods. Even when Mosheh told Aharon his brother, to throw down the rod and it turned, not into a serpent, but rather a crocodile. Why a crocodile? Here is a quote from the Book of Ani: The Osiris Ani, whose word is truth, saith:- I am the Crocodile-god (Sebak) who dwelleth amid his terrors. I am the Crocodile-god and I seize [my prey] like a ravening beast. ((From the Book of Ani)) Because one of the most revered and powerful gods of Egypt was represented by a crocodile. Remember, this is a battle between the false gods of Egypt and the Most High Elohim of Israel. Here is an interesting side note about Osiris, he was the god of the dead and also the god of resurrection.
So who or what is Sin? Sin was the semitic moon god, not a goddess, but a male god who was most often represented by a “frisky young bull.”
Do you see how the moon was represented by a “frisky young bull” or, a golden calf. Look what happened at the base of Mt. Sinai (Also named after the moon god)):Exo 32:3 “And all the people took off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aharon.
Exo 32:4 And he took this from their hand, and he formed it with an engraving tool, and made a moulded calf. And they said, “This is your mighty one, O Yisra’ĕl, that brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim!”
Exo 32:5 And Aharon saw and built an altar before it. And Aharon called out and said, “Tomorrow is a festival to יהוה.” Do you see all the sins that took place in the Wilderness of Sin? They made an image of a god, they identified the god as YHVH, then burned incense to it and also offered offerings to the image.
So, at the base of the moon god’s mountain Aharon fashioned a golden calf, which represented the moon god, and led the people astray. But what happened at Mt. Sinai? YHVH entered into a covenant with His people. If you have not read Part VII of this series please do so as it will help you understand exactly what took place at Mt. Sinai.

Notice the top of Mt. Sinai still appears to be burned from a time long ago.
4.) Mt. Hermon is a beautiful cluster of mountain peaks, 3 total, at the southern end of the Anti-Lebanon mountain range which is located where modern Syria and Lebanon come together. It is over 9,000 feet in altitude and home to a ski resort. If you will remember Part IV of this series, https://codgerville.wordpress.com/2017/03/21/for-we-wrestle-not-against-flesh-and-blood-part-iv-the-stargates/ it is where the 200 Watchers came to Earth and took human women as wives and that union produced the “Nephilim”.

Mt. Hermon, also known as Bashan in scripture.
What does scripture and pseudoepigrapha tell us about Mt. Hermon? Actually it says quite a lot but let us look to one verse of scripture that seems out of place. First, I consider the biggest and greatest book of prophecy in the scriptures so, when I see a reference to Bashan that is out of place or even seems contradictory, I have to examine it closely. Look to Psalms: Psa. 68:15 A mountain of Elohim is the mountain of Bashan; A mountain of peaks is the mountain of Bashan.
Like I mentioned above Mt. Hermon has 3 peaks so it does fit this description but, where in scripture is Mt. Hermon/Bashan called a mountain of Elohim? Nowhere. Or, almost nowhere until you get to the B’rit Hadasha. Mat 16:13 Now when יהושע came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His taught ones, saying, “Who do men say the Son of Aḏam is?”
Mar 8:27 And יהושע and His taught ones went out to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way He asked His taught ones, saying to them, “Who do men say I am?”
I know what you are thinking, “So what? That is Caesarea Philippi.” Right? Let’s look at that network of villages known as Caesarea Philippi on a map:
Two things are very distinctive about Caesarea Philippi: 1) it is actually a cluster of villages at the base and up the slope of Mt. Hermon/ Bashan; 2) In Caesara Philippi there is a grotto called the Grotto of Pan which is supposed to be the entrance to the underworld; you know, hell.

This is the Grotto of Pan at the base of Mt. Hermon at Caesarea Philippi.
Now, let’s put all of this in context: Mat_16:13 Now when יהושע came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His taught ones, saying, “Who do men say the Son of Aḏam is?”
Mar_8:27 And יהושע and His taught ones went out to the villages of Caesarea Philippi. And on the way He asked His taught ones, saying to them, “Who do men say I am?”
What happens next? Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Upon this rock; Mt. Hermon/Bashan. The gates of hell; the Grotto of Pan. Did Yeshua establish His congregation on Mt. Hermon? Of course: Mat 17:3 And see, Mosheh and Ěliyahu appeared to them, talking with Him.
Mat 17:4 And Kĕpha answering, said to יהושע, “Master, it is good for us to be here. If You wish, let us make here three booths: one for You, one for Mosheh, and one for Ěliyahu.” Mar 9:2 And after six days יהושע took Kĕpha, and Yaʽaqoḇ, and Yoḥanan, and led them up on a high mountain alone by themselves. And He was transformed before them.
Mar 9:3 And His garments became glittering, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth is able to whiten.
Mar 9:4 And there appeared to them Ěliyahu with Mosheh, and they were talking with יהושע.
Yeshua was transfigured on Mt. Hermon thereby claiming it for Himself and for His Father. Upon this rock he established His kahal/congregation/assembly and the gates of hell, at the base of the mountain in the Grotto of Pan, would not prevail against it. Got it? When you put the scripture in the proper context you suddenly begin to see how these, seemingly unrelated verses of scriptures, come to life. David was prophesying about the day that Yeshua would go up to Mt. Hermon and claim it in His Father’s name. This exchange had nothing to do with Peter being the founder of the “church”. A monumental coup took place on Mt. Hermon and the “church” missed it.
5.) Ba’al Tsephon (Zaphon): Ba’al Tsephon is a different animal than the other mountains we’ve seen so far. Ba’al Tsephon actually means “Lord of the North” or “Lord of the Cold”. Now, let’s look at the name Ba’al which is the name of a pagan deity. If Ba’al means “lord”, should we really be referring to our Father and Creator as “Lord”?
Anyway, below is a map of one location of a mountain known as Ba’al Tsephon. Many sites existed with one of the most famous on the Mediterranean coast of Syria near the Turkish border. The Ugarit people of western Syria and present day Lebanon believed Ba’al was superior to Yahweh. ((This is one of the few times I have used this name because it was also a pagan deity worshiped by the Ugarits and Samaritans. Remember Wilhelm Gesenius was educated by the Samaritans into the “Hebrew” language.))
Now, let’s see why Ba’al Tsephon is important to our study: Exo 14:2 “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, that they turn and camp before Pi Haḥiroth, between Miḡdol and the sea, opposite Baʽal Tsephon – camp before it by the sea.
So YHVH intentionally told Mosheh to have the Children of Israel to camp opposite the mountain of Ba’al. Why? Let’s find out, watch: Exo 14:9 And the Mitsrites pursued them, and all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen and his army, and overtook them camping by the sea beside Pi Haḥiroth, before Baʽal Tsephon.
Exo 14:10 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Yisra’ĕl lifted their eyes and saw the Mitsrites coming up after them. And they were greatly afraid, so the children of Yisra’ĕl cried out to יהוה.
Exo 14:11 And they said to Mosheh, “Did you take us away to die in the wilderness because there are no graves in Mitsrayim? What is this you have done to us, to bring us up out of Mitsrayim?
Exo 14:12 “Is this not the word that we spoke to you in Mitsrayim, saying, ‘Leave us alone and let us serve the Mitsrites?’ For it would have been better for us to serve the Mitsrites than to die in the wilderness.”
Exo 14:13 And Mosheh said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the deliverance of יהוה, which He does for you today. For the Mitsrites whom you see today, you are never, never to see again.
Exo 14:14 “יהוה does fight for you, and you keep still.”
Exo 14:15 And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Why do you cry to Me? Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and let them go forward.
Exo 14:16 “And you, lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and let the children of Yisra’ĕl go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
Exo 14:17 “And I, see I am hardening the hearts of the Mitsrites, and they shall follow them. And I am to be esteemed through Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen.
Exo 14:18 “And the Mitsrites shall know that I am יהוה, when I am esteemed through Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”
Exo 14:19 And the Messenger of Elohim, who went before the camp of Yisra’ĕl, moved and went behind them. And the column of cloud went from before them and stood behind them,
Exo 14:20 and came between the camp of the Mitsrites and the camp of Yisra’ĕl. And it was the cloud and the darkness, and it gave light by night, and the one did not come near the other all the night.
Exo 14:21 And Mosheh stretched out his hand over the sea. And יהוה caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.
Exo 14:22 And the children of Yisra’ĕl went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right and on their left.
Exo 14:23 And the Mitsrites pursued and went after them into the midst of the sea, all the horses of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.
Exo 14:24 And it came to be, in the morning watch, that יהוה looked down upon the army of the Mitsrites through the column of fire and cloud, and He brought the army of the Mitsrites into confusion.
Exo 14:25 And He took off their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty. And the Mitsrites said, “Let us flee from the face of Yisra’ĕl, for יהוה fights for them against the Mitsrites.”
Exo 14:26 Then יהוה said to Mosheh, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, and let the waters come back upon the Mitsrites, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.”
Exo 14:27 And Mosheh stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its usual flow, at the break of day, with the Mitsrites fleeing into it. Thus יהוה overthrew the Mitsrites in the midst of the sea,
Exo 14:28 and the waters returned and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them, and not even one was left of them.
Exo 14:29 And the children of Yisra’ĕl walked on dry ground in the midst of the sea, and the waters were a wall to them on their right and on their left.
Exo 14:30 Thus יהוה saved Yisra’ĕl that day out of the hand of the Mitsrites, and Yisra’ĕl saw the Mitsrites dead on the seashore.
Exo 14:31 And Yisra’ĕl saw the great work which יהוה had done in Mitsrayim, and the people feared יהוה, and believed יהוה and His servant Mosheh.
So, the purpose of having the Children of Israel camp in front of Ba’al Tsephon was so that our Creator could put him to open shame in front of the Egyptians. Ba’al was also a god in Egypt and was brought there by the Amorites when they occupied Egypt. It is the Amorites with whom Israel will have their greatest battles.
6.) Mt. Zion: Mt. Zion is perhaps the most famous of all of YHVH’s mountains. It is written about in scripture over 150 times. It is spoken of most commonly in relation to Jerusalem and also the City of David. If indeed the City of David was located on Mt. Zion then the drawing above which shows the 3 mountains of YHVH needs to be changed to show Mt. Zion in the center and Mt. Moriah on the left. Nevertheless, here is a very important prophecy by the greatest prophet, King David: Psa 74:2 Remember Your congregation. You did purchase of old, The tribe of Your inheritance. You did redeem, This Mount Tsiyon where You have dwelt.
Psa 74:3 Lift up Your steps to the endless ruins; The enemy has done all evil in the set-apart place.
Remember this prophecy because you are about to learn something that will blow your mind and perhaps even alter your perception of “main stream church doctrine”.
7.) Armageddon: This perhaps is the most famous word from the Book of Revelation. It is so famous we need to take a look at what it means: Zec 12:11 “In that day the mourning in Yerushalayim is going to be great, like the mourning at Haḏaḏ Rimmon in the valley of Meḡiddo.
Wait a minute, Megiddo is a valley, not a mountain? So let’s do some more research: Rev_16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

The Valley of Megiddo and Mr. Carmel in the distance.
What is going on here? Well, it is really quite simple. Even though there is an “H” in Greek it has no sound, like the words honor, humble, herb in English and is usually represented by a ‘ in script. So, if you see a ‘armageddon in scripture what do you do? Probably drop the ‘. Now, let’s look at the same verse of scripture from the ISR: Rev 16:16 And they gathered them together to the place called in Heḇrew, Har Meḡiddo.
Okay, we have more information now. So, what is Har Megiddo? Well, har means mountain. And, we add Megiddo and what do we have Mount Megiddo. The only problem is that there is no Mt. Megiddo in Hebrew. Remember, Megiddo is a valley. So what is going on? Let me show you what happened and I will explain it afterwards: (KJV) Gen 14:1 And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;
Gen 14:2 That these made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, which is Zoar. // Now let’s look at the same scripture in the (ISR): Gen 14:1 And it came to be in the days of Amraphel sovereign of Shinʽar, Aryoḵ sovereign of Ellasar, Keḏorlaʽomer sovereign of Ěylam, and Tiḏʽal sovereign of Goyim,
Gen 14:2 that they fought against Bera sovereign of Seḏom, Birsha sovereign of Amorah, Shinaḇ sovereign of Aḏmah, Shem’ĕḇer sovereign of Tseḇoyim, and the sovereign of Bela, that is Tsoʽar.
Did you catch it? The word Gomorrah in Hebrew starts with a letter which we do not have in English but exists in many Semitic languages. That letter is called an ‘ayin. It is a very guttural sound that starts in the back of the throat where the “g” sound originates. I did not notice it until I was reading in the Works of Flavius Josephus. The following is from The Works of Flavius Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews, Book II, Chapter 11, Sec. 2: For that country having but little water, the shepherds used to seize on the wells before others came, lest their flocks should want water, and lest it should be spent by others before they came. There were now come, therefore, to this well seven sisters that were virgins, the daughters of Raguel, a priest, and one thought worthy by the people of the country of great honor.
Notice, Flavius Josephus, a native Hebrew speaker, general, prophet and member of the Sanhedrin spelled the name of Moses’ future father-in-law “Raguel”, using a “g”. Let’s breakdown Raguel to its consonants since there are no vowels in Hebrew: R-G-L. Now let’s look at scripture regarding this same thing:(KJV) Exo 2:18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day? // Now, let’s see the ISR: Exo 2:18 And they came to Reʽuw’ĕl their father, and he said, “How is it that you have come so soon today?”
Do you see what happened? Rather than using a “g” for the middle letter the KJV and the ISR use a vowel sound as the middle letter. Which vowel sounds begins in the back of the throat like a “g”? That’s right, the ‘ayin. So now let’s look at Reuel’s name without the “g” but with the ‘ayin: R-“-L.
Now, with this information, let’s take another look at Megiddo or rather Har Megiddo. Remember har in Hebrew means mountain. Now let’s break down Megiddo: M-G-D. Now change the “g” to an ‘ayin and you get M-“-D. We would represent this word in English as Mo’ed (M-“-D). What does mo’ed mean? Let’s look: Strong’s Concordance Reference number: H4150
מוֹעָדָה מֹעֵד מוֹעֵד

From H3259; properly an appointment, that is, a fixed time or season; specifically a festival; conventionally a year; by implication, an assembly (as convened for a definite purpose); technically the congregation; by extension, the place of meeting; also a signal (as appointed beforehand): – appointed (sign, time), (place of, solemn) assembly, congregation, (set, solemn) feast, (appointed, due) season, solemn (-ity), synagogue, (set) time (appointed).
Alright, we now have more information. Can we find a mount of assembly or mount of congregation in scripture? Yes, we can and guess where it is? In the book of Isaiah the prophet in chapter 14: Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Isa 14:16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
Isa 14:17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?
Isa 14:18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.
Isa 14:19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.
Isa 14:20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.
Now look at it in the ISR: Isa 14:13 “For you have said in your heart, ‘Let me go up to the heavens, let me raise my throne above the stars of Ěl, and let me sit in the mount of meeting on the sides of the north;
Isa 14:14 let me go up above the heights of the clouds, let me be like the Most High.’
Isa 14:15 “But you are brought down to the grave, to the sides of the Pit.
Isa 14:16 “Those who see you stare at you, and ponder over you, saying, ‘Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who shook reigns,
Isa 14:17 who made the world as a wilderness and destroyed its cities, who would not open the house of his prisoners?’
Isa 14:18 “All the sovereigns of the gentiles, all of them, were laid in esteem, everyone in his own house;
Isa 14:19 but you have been thrown from your grave like an abominable branch, like the garment of those who are slain, thrust through with a sword, who go down to the stones of the pit, like a trampled corpse.
Isa 14:20 “You are not joined with them in burial, for you have destroyed your land and slain your people. Let the seed of evil-doers never be mentioned.

THERE IS NO ARMAGEDDON IN SCRIPTURE!!! I REPEAT, THERE IS NO ARMAGEDDON IN SCRIPTURE!!! THE WORDS ARE HAR MEGEDDON – THE MOUNT OF CONGREGATION, THE MOUNT OF ASSEMBLY. AND WHERE IS THAT?
So, where is the Mount of Assembly, the Mount of Congregation? We’ve already covered it: Psa 74:2 Remember Your congregation. You did purchase of old, The tribe of Your inheritance. You did redeem, This Mount Tsiyon where You have dwelt.
Psa 74:3 Lift up Your steps to the endless ruins; The enemy has done all evil in the set-apart place.
Remember, this prophecy was written by King David before the temple was built by his son Solomon or even before he had moved the tabernacle (set apart place) to Mount Zion (Tsiyon in the ISR). This prophecy was for the end time, you know, TODAY.
OOPS! I forgot about the mountain called Eden and where it is.
Let’s look at the four (4) rivers flowing out of Eden. Two we are pretty sure of and that is the Tigris and the Euphrates. The Hebrew matches up so we don’t have a lot of detective work to do. It is the Pishon and Gihon that are the most troubling, especially the Gihon. Let’s look at it again: Gen 2:13 And the name of the second river is Giḥon, it is the one surrounding the entire land of Kush.
Now, everyone and their brother knows that Kush or Cush is basically Ethiopia and that part of Africa, right? Maybe. Maybe we are “assuming” too much. Is there another Kush? Let’s look:
Kush, also called the Kushan Empire and also called Hindu-Kush matches the description of Kush in Genesis 2:13. What is the name of the river today? Amu Darya. Darya means river in Persian so it is the Amu River.
Did you know that in Egyptian there is no “J” sound? In Egyptian there is a “J” character but it is pronounced as a “G”. Do you know the name of this river in Arabic? Jehoon. But Moses was from Egypt and they have no “J” but rather a “G” and so the river in Egyptian is Gee-hoon. Why doesn’t the river flow out of Eden but rather flows from the Himalayas into the Caspian? Tectonic upheaval is my best guess.
What is the fourth river, Pishon? The Araxis River. Where do the Tigris, Euphrates and Araxis rivers originate? In the watershed of Mt. Ararat. Remember, I told you to remember Ezekiel 28? Eze 28:16 “By the greatness of your trade you became filled with violence within, and you sinned. So I thrust you from the mountain of Elohim, and I destroyed you, O covering keruḇ, from the midst of the stones of fire.
Did you know that Mt. Ararat is a volcano? You know, stones of fire?

Mount Ararat (/ˈærəˌræt/ ARR-ə-rat;[4] Turkish: Ağrı Dağı; Armenian: Մասիս, Masis and Արարատ, Ararat) is a snow-capped and dormant compound volcano in the extreme east of Turkey. It consists of two major volcanic cones: Greater Ararat, the highest peak in Turkey and the Armenian plateau with an elevation of 5,137 m (16,854 ft); and Little Ararat, with an elevation of 3,896 m (12,782 ft).[5] The Ararat massif is about 40 km (25 mi) in diameter.
As you can see the above information was taken from Wikipedia and I claim no copyright for this information but give full credit to Wikipedia and thank them for the information.
Now do you understand why scripture says the following: Gen 8:4 And in the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month, the ark rested on the mountains of Ararat.
It did not rest on Mt. Ararat but on the lower mountains of Ararat because man had fallen and was now not worthy to go back UP to Eden. Once the glacier settled into place there was no longer any need to have it protected from the intrusion of man: Gen 3:24 and He drove the man out. And He placed keruḇim at the east of the garden of Ěḏen, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.
Now you know why there has been wood found in the ice on top of Mt. Ararat going back over 5,000 years. It was from the trees that were in the Garden of Eden, not the ark of Noah which was found years ago by Ron Wyatt and now has a Turkish national park commemorating the site.
We can prove scripture. Never quit trying to understand the infallible nature of scripture. You must first try to understand the context in which it was written. Is it lead or lead, or is it read or read? Look at the context of the usage of the word, then apply it to scripture.
I hope this has helped you prepare yourself spiritually in some small way.
2Ti 2:15 Do your utmost to present yourself approved to Elohim, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the Word of Truth. (ISR)
2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (KJV)
Num 6:22 And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Num 6:23 “Speak to Aharon and his sons, saying, ‘This is how you bless the children of Yisra’ĕl. Say to them:
Num 6:24 “יהוה bless you and guard you;
Num 6:25 יהוה make His face shine upon you, and show favour to you;
Num 6:26 יהוה lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.” ’
Num 6:27 “Thus they shall put My Name on the children of Yisra’ĕl, and I Myself shall bless them.”

https://creation.com/has-the-garden-of-eden-been-found shows the impossibility of locating Eden after the Deluge totally rearranged Earth’s topography. This article ignores that reality. Why?.
Hi Cosmos,
You state that their article is reality, I choose to believe it is a fantasy. I ignore it because they are wrong! Scripture can be proven and just because you can’t doesn’t mean scripture is wrong and you are right. It might mean you are ignoring all the clues that are in scripture.
Shalom,
CC
I’ve forwarded your response to the CMI, author of the article you chose to excoriate. Maybe a worthwhile dialogue will result, but not if either side chooses to “ignore” the other perspective. So far the allegedly “ignorant” CMI has not done so! But sadly ‘codgerville’ has gleefully confessed to that problematic, even blustering, gnostic posture of Nov.13, 2017.
Would “all the clues that are in scripture” include the global geological chaos resulting from the Deluge? Any geological evidence of that today, including Deluge-generated thick sedimentary rock and coal-bed layers and high mountain ranges? How about the distinct possibility of names of Edenic rivers (e.g. “Euphrates”) being nostalgically reused for freshly-formed post-Edenic rivers?
I reside in one of two seaside towns in Australia named ‘Brighton’ by nostalgic migrants from England. Hmmm!
Hello Cosmos,
It is interesting that you use the verb excoriate. I do not see how I stripped the skin off of it or denounced it strongly, I just chose to ignore it. You have several question marks but few questions. Obviously I hit a raw nerve somewhere in your psyche and you chose to lash out. That is fine. But just because someone says that it is impossible to find, like Mt. Sinai, do you believe them without putting it to the test? If you choose to believe that it is impossible to find Eden that is wonderful. I am glad for you. But if you choose to disbelieve because someone told you rather than putting it to the test that is another thing.
1) Did you know that Eden was a mountain?
2) Did you know that Eden was located in the heart (caldera) of a volcano?
3) Have you checked the research of others,i.e. Stan Deyo or Ron Wyatt?
4) In reading the scriptures, what lead you to believe that it was impossible to find Eden?
5) What Hebrew phrase(s) lead you to believe that it was a matter nostalgia rather than an accurate depiction of the the actual location?
6) Do you believe that the scripture is divinely inspired or just a nice collection of nostalgic tales?
7) Did you know that there was another land of Kush before I pointed it out in the article?
8) Did you know the true nature of shoham stones? (Before my article)?
9) Have you looked up Bdellium to see if it was found in Kush? Is it?
You need to make up in your own mind if you are going to believe the scripture or explain it away. I was raised in a town named Carencro, the only one of that name on the continent. I live in a town named Normangee, the only one on the continent. Was the Gihon Springs in the Kidron Valley part of the Gihon River? No, I do not believe so, but it was rather named in honor of the river that flowed around the land of Kush.
Do I believe that the Earth’s surface shifted upwards, in some places and downwards in others? Yes, of course. But what part of this tectonic shifting makes it impossible to discern the location from scripture? Can we not track subsidence and upheaval using satellite topographic imagery or is it only for the domain of a few, i.e. the creation group that you cite?
Answer these questions honestly and we can move on to a more serious study of the topic.

Hi CC,
Reflecting on my favourite sedimentary rock formation: the visually-intriguing catastrophically water-caused, axiomatically quickly-deposited and thus Evolution/Uniformitarian-refuting: ‘Elephant Rock, N.Z.’[See sundry Google pix]. I assume we are on the same page so far but….
was it via erosion following Noah’s Deluge (the CMI view) or was it via a pre-Adamic flood, i.e. ‘the Gap Theory’ (reportedly popularised via Scoffield’s bible translation… which implies virtually no fossils or globe-reconfiguring sediments occurred via Noah’s Deluge)? Both options are riduculed by mainstream geologists of course.
CMI’s “ignorable-by-CC” comment: “The ‘gap’ theory, on the other hand, would require that only the surface of the earth was reconstituted in the six days. The earth’s core, the basic structure, the great fossil beds containing the remnants of the dinosaurs, and so on, all of this would predate the six days of Creation. But God says specifically that everything in the earth and in the heavens and in the sea was made in the six days.” https://creation.com/genesis-13-undermines-gap-theory
That’s the undisclosed ‘elephant-in-the-room’ crux of your disagreement with ‘Young Earth’ advocators isn’t it? All puns intended.
btw: to “excoriate” (my 28/11/17 term) is ‘to strip credibility from’, which you achieved via loftily “ignoring“ the CMI link I provided.
Shalom from ‘Cosmos’:-
a now-retired Tertiary Ed. lecturer in ‘Soft Geology’, but with ongoing research capabilities (hence easily catering for your 28/11/17 diverse partially-rhetorical queries); and a former naive believer in The Gap Theory (c/o exposure in the 1960’s to H.W.A.’s ‘Old Earth’-accommodating paradigm).
Shalom Cosmos,
I am uncertain as to what it is that you are trying to prove. Perhaps your queen’s English will not soak into my thick Texas skull. I do believe that the Word of Elohim created the universe in 6 days.(No gap there) The very first word in Hebrew in Genesis 1:1 (Bereshith) proves that Yeshua created the universe in 6 says. That is why John the apostle used it in John 1:1 and also again in 1 John 1:1.
I believe that scripture is self-revealing, meaning I don’t have to loo for another to reveal its truth. I also believe that it is possible to know that world was created 5853 years ago. (No gap here) You disagree with my thesis and cited an article. I disagreed with you and quoted scripture. I believe it is possible to know details from scripture and you do not. I see no gap anywhere nor do I believe in a gap theory (I will not do it justice by capitalizing it) just like I do not believe in the substitution theory, rapture theory or any other theory that cannot be backed by scripture.
You said the I excoriated the above mentioned article. You brought it up, not me. I chose to ignore it; that is called disconfirmation, not excoriate, which would indicate to me at least, that I in some way attacked the article, which I did not. I chose to ignore a thesis which did not include all the evidence given in scripture about the location of Eden. I chose to believe it and use it in my research which led me to my thesis.
I noticed that you chose not to answer any of the questions that I asked you in my earlier reply to your comment. Simply stated, I believe that YHVH is a Revealer of secrets and you can find the answer to those secrets in His Word if you diligently search His Word of Truth. (Daniel 2:47, Isa. 28:10,13)
Thanks for the comment.
Shalom,
